ANCHOR FOR "BROADCASTING"

The objective of this program is to present an
overview of the broadcast industry with plenty of
hands-on projects. Students should gain confidence and understanding in a variety of media communication situations. Major units we study include
news media, with a central focus on video
production and media literacy, narrative filmmaking and documentary filmmaking. Students will learn
​pre-production, production, and post-production techniques and standards.

MISSION & GOALS

Careers in broadcasting and electronic media are some of the fastest growing and exciting jobs in the world. Platte County High School’s Broadcasting Program prepares students for college programs in communications, electronic media, communications, photography and cinema and entertainment marketing.

Goals of the Platte County High School Broadcasting Program:

• Develop solid production basics
• Providing a challenging curriculum for advancing students
• Improve overall job skills
